The Power of "We The People"

Most people, even attorneys, think this pyramid is upside down. If you read the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence which led to the U.S. Constitution this is the correct power structure that we have in the United States of America. We The People have all the power in this nation.

  • Those who wrote the Declaration of Independence signed that document
“by the authority of the good people of these colonies.”
  • After an eight year war that We fought, using our own weapons, we won the right for our colonies to become “free and independent States” with the power to manage their territories and protect their citizens.
  • We The People wrote our Constitution and included job descriptions for people we intended to hire to protect our freedoms.
  • We The People are the only ones who can choose who to hire into the federal government to protect our freedoms. We pay them for their temporary service to our nation out of our money in the U.S. Treasury. We can fire them without giving a reason.
  • We have the same powers over the elected officials of State governments.
  • Our elected State officials have final powers over all the federal government.

We the People, Equal Freedoms, Equal Protection.
